About the Role

Queensland Rail is seeking an experienced rail professional to coordinate contractor access, possession planning and corridor activities that support the safe and efficient delivery of major infrastructure projects across the SEQ network. Working within Major Projects Integration, you will oversee non-SCAS access requests, manage key stakeholder relationships and help optimise network access outcomes while ensuring compliance with rail safety and operational requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of Queensland's most significant rail projects, including Cross River Rail, B2N, Wave, Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail. Leading the Possession Resource Assistant supporting SCAS closures, you'll be well suited if you bring possession planning experience, strong stakeholder management skills and a background in rail safe working.

 Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:

• Coordinate non-SCAS corridor access requests for major project works, ensuring activities are safely planned, appropriately resourced and aligned with operational requirements.


• Lead stakeholder engagement and planning forums to facilitate possession requests, resolve competing priorities and optimise access outcomes across the rail network.


• Develop and maintain risk management and access planning frameworks that support compliance, continuous improvement and the safe delivery of complex infrastructure programs.


• Provide strategic reporting and operational insights to support decision-making, resource optimisation and the successful delivery of integrated possession programs.


• Work closely with Integrated Possessions Coordinator to ensure successful delivery of SCAS Closures.

People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:

• Demonstrated experience in rail safe working environments, with a strong understanding of trackside safety requirements, operational standards and the management of third-party contractor activities within the rail corridor.


• Proven expertise in possession planning, scheduling and coordinating network access activities, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver successful outcomes across complex project programs.


• Strong knowledge of project and risk management principles, with the ability to identify constraints, mitigate operational risks and work collaboratively with stakeholders to support safe and efficient project delivery.


• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, navigate complex operational challenges and build effective relationships across project and operational teams.
