Job Description - Integration Support Officer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled EDI Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team at the Kewdale Branch. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, implementing, and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. This role requires a deep understanding of EDI standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure seamless integration with trading partners and internal systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • EDI System Management:
    • Design and implement EDI solutions and integrations.
    • Maintain and monitor EDI transactions to ensure successful data exchange.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues promptly.
  • Integration Projects:
    • Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements and design integration solutions.
    • Manage EDI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
    • Coordinate with trading partners for EDI onboarding, testing, and implementation.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and training to internal users and external partners.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including EDI maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure all EDI processes comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
    • Stay updated with the latest EDI technologies and trends to implement best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate EDI processes.
    • Work with the IT team to integrate EDI solutions with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in EDI integration, mapping, and support.
    • Proven experience with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc.
    • Familiarity with EDI translation software (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, GXS, etc.).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of EDI protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTP/S).
    • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment:
    • Office-based with potential remote work options.
    • Occasional travel may be required for meetings and conferences.
  • Hours:
    • Full-time position with standard business hours.
    • Availability for on-call support as needed.
