We are partnering with a highly regarded accounting firm that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to add a motivated Intermediate Accountant to its Business Services & Tax team.

The Role Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while further developing your technical and advisory skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
Exposure to a broad range of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A
Assisting with tax planning and tax advisory matters
Maintaining client asset registers, reconciliations and adjusting journals
Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and other external stakeholders
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Working closely with senior team members on complex client matters
Assisting with workflow management and meeting compliance deadlines
Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to business growth
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Degree qualified in Accounting
CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
2-4 years of Australian public practice experience
Strong understanding of business services and taxation compliance
Experience using Xero and Class Super
Handisoft experience will be highly regarded
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
