Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst Intermediate/Senior who will report to the QA Manager and will be responsible for executing quality assurance strategies across system-agnostic environments to ensure high-quality delivery of technology solutions. This role leads test planning, coordination, and execution, while driving defect management, test automation (where applicable), and continuous improvement of QA practices. The resource collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to validate business and technical requirements and ensure end-to-end solution integrity.

Deliverables:
• QA Strategy & Test Plan: Document outlining scope, approach, environments, tools, schedule, and entry/exit criteria for testing activities
• Test Cases & Test Execution Results: Comprehensive test scripts with traceability to requirements and documented execution outcomes (including pass/fail status)
• Defect Log & Quality Metrics Reports: Regular reporting on defects, severity trends, test coverage, and overall quality status for stakeholders
• Test Summary Report & Go/No-Go Recommendation: Final assessment of system quality, key risks, and readiness for release or production deployment

Required Experience:
• 5-8+ years of experience in software testing/QA, including leading QA activities on complex projects
• Proven experience in system-agnostic or multi-platform testing (e.g., ERP, SAAS, integration, data)
• Experience with full QA lifecycle (test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, reporting)
• Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Experience with Oracle Cloud (HCM module) and UKG WFM is an asset

Required Technical Skills and/or qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance)
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, Tricentis)
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an asset
• Understanding of APIs, data validation, and system integration testing concepts

• Strong business acumen with ability to interact with functional business users
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and work under tight timelines
