Inventory Controller - Generous Compensation

Founded in 1972, Narangba Timbers is known as Brisbane’s favourite timber merchant.  Located in Narangba on Brisbane’s Northside, we supply a large range of timber products for an even larger range of applications, including Decking, Flooring, Landscaping, Structural Support and Cladding. Under new ownership over the last 5 years, Narangba Timbers has experienced consistent and steady growth, and has even bigger plans for exponential growth over the coming years.  This is an exciting time to join our team! 

Who are we seeking?

Reporting into our Warehouse Manager and working alongside our Warehouse Team, the Inventory Controller will be responsible for the following: 

• Accurate and efficient receipting and inspection of incoming products, ensuring all products meet high standards of inventory integrity 
• Investigating and resolving any discrepancies in liaison with our Procurement Officer, Warehouse Team, Sales Team and Suppliers 
• Facilitating regular and effective stocktakes and cycle counts
• Maintaining ongoing inventory accuracy through implementation of best practice processes, collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to continuous improvement 
• Utilising data analysis to optimise inventory levels to align with changing seasonal needs of our customers 
• Implementing enhancements of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to achieve greater levels of accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards and more effective processes within the Warehouse 

This is a full time role, Monday - Friday with a 7am start.

• A detail oriented mindset, coupled with experience in driving positive organisational change through process implementation and concise communication

• Professional communication skills - both written and verbal 
• A passion for continuous learning and development 
• Experience in the timber/ building materials/ hardware industry will be highly regarded  
• Current forklift licence is desirable
