Job Description - Inventory Specialist

If you are curious & creative, invested in not only your own success but also the growth of others, and believe in building the Great Australian Food Company, then you might be the one for us!

  • Join an Australian-owned iconic brand based in Docklands

  • Own end-to-end inventory accuracy across Bega sites and 3PL partners

  • Use data + ERP insights to optimise stock availability, service and cost outcomes

  • 12 months fixed-term + Hybrid flexibility

The Role

If you enjoy turning complex inventory challenges into clear, practical actions, this is a 12-month fixed-term role where your impact will be visible every day. As our Inventory Specialist in our Supply Chain team, you’ll lead end-to-end inventory processes across Bega and our third-party logistics (3PL) network—protecting stock accuracy, improving availability and service, and reducing inventory-related costs through strong controls, insights and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory governance: run reconciliations, investigate variances and action adjustments in line with the Inventory Management Policy and authority matrix

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and controls: work instructions, training procedures, and consistent process adherence across sites and partners

  • Provide end-to-end logistics support: partner with warehousing and distribution stakeholders to resolve stock issues impacting availability, customer service and cost

  • Protect data integrity and visibility: manage inventory reporting, housekeeping and master data changes to ensure accurate system records and decision-making

  • Drive compliant outcomes across product disposition: quality hold/containment, donations/disposals, returns disposition, dated stock and cycle count/stocktake activities

About you

  • Demonstrated capability in inventory governance and compliance—comfortable working within policy, control frameworks and approval matrices

  • Strong end-to-end logistics understanding across warehousing, 3PL operations, inventory flows and downstream service impacts

  • Confident using ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Infor M3) and working with warehouse systems to maintain accurate inventory records

  • Proven analytical capability—able to translate exceptions/variances into clear actions that reduce cost leakage and improve service outcomes

  • Stakeholder partnership skills—able to influence consistent ways of working across cross-functional teams and external partners without direct authority
