Investment Banking Associate - Elite Boutique Investment Bank - Urgent Role

JS Careers is currently sourcing an Associate for an Australian investment bank in Sydney. The firm operates in a generalist capacity with sector strengths in private equity, general industrials, healthcare, FIG and real estate. This role requires 2.5 years of experience gained within a competitor investment bank / corporate advisory firm.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an analytical professional seeking to build upon already developed technical skills in a first-class investment banking business. This role will provide the successful candidate with exposure and transaction execution experience well above that of atypical Associate role. 

Role responsibilities:

• Financial analysis, valuation and modelling
• Leading deal execution 
• Due diligence and transaction management 
• Drafting and deal documentation (e.g. IMs, Board Papers, SPAs etc)
• Communication with other advisors (legal, accounting) and clients

Candidates will be considered from:

• Investment banks - Bulge bracket or boutique
• Relevant M&A position outside of IB

Candidates must also possess the following: 

• 2.5 years of experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
• Advanced technical skills via financial modelling experience or a highly numeric tertiary education (ie. Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics/Econometrics)
• Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, and/or Law)
