About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of fund operations and investment processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of duties including fund operations management, financial reporting support, and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our investment strategies and operations while advancing your career in financial services.
Responsibility
- Take ownership of daily fund operations and investment activities, including managing new investor unit registry, subscriptions, distributions, redemptions, and investor records using our established system.
- Perform basic fund-level bookkeeping monthly to support NAV and IAS reporting.
- Assist in the financial year-end process for FATCA/CRS reporting, AIIR, Tax Statements, etc.
- Cultivate positive relationships with external service providers such as custodians, investment counterparties, prime brokers, and bankers.
- Assist in due diligence on underlying investments, primarily fixed-income securities like public bonds, private credits, and short-term securities.
- Analyze investment performance and broad market data to provide insights for reporting and decision-making.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, charts, and registers to support record-keeping and decision-making.
- Tertiary degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, or related fields.
- Exceptional attention to detail in numerical data processing.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel; basic knowledge of Python coding.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles; experience with XERO accounting software.
- High proficiency in English and Mandarin languages.
- Prior knowledge or internship experience in fund or investment operations.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
