IT - Core Services Specialist

The client is looking for a Core Services Specialist for a 12 month contract. Your new role
This is a hands-on role focused on the lifecycle management, security, and operational support of core infrastructure platforms across hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments. You will act as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert, ensuring systems are resilient, secure, and optimised.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure systems
• Provide Level 2/3 support and lead complex troubleshooting
• Maintain secure, stable, and high-performing environments
• Support and optimise server, storage, virtualisation, and cloud platforms
• Execute patching, upgrades, and change management activities
• Contribute to automation and DevOps practices
• Develop and maintain technical standards and documentation

What you'll need to succeed
Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure support
• Expertise across:
  • Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Identity)
  • Virtualisation (VMware) and enterprise storage
• Experience with automation tools (e.g. PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles
• Exposure to ITIL/service management environments
