Your new role As a Level 1/2 IT Support Engineer, you will act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries across the business, supporting end users across hardware, software, and systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing Level 1/2 support across desktops, laptops, and user applications
Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including user accounts and device setup
Troubleshooting issues across Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies
Supporting business systems and applications used across the organisation
Managing and maintaining IT hardware, printers, and office infrastructure
Supporting networking connectivity and liaising with external vendors
Assisting with IT projects, system improvements, and process optimisation
This is a hands-on support role with exposure to a broad IT environment, giving you the opportunity to develop beyond traditional support responsibilities over time.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in a Level 1/2 IT support role
Strong experience with Windows 10/11 environments and Windows Server
Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user/group management, permissions, GPOs)
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Exchange environments
Exposure to IT hardware support including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
Experience with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM or similar
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys IT support but is also motivated to grow their career into more technical or development-focused areas in the future.
