Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Digital Asset Lifecycle Management
â Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
â Establish and enforce best practices for asset tracking, compliance, and financial management.
â Ensure alignment with IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) policies.
2. Digital Configuration Management & CMDB Integrity
â Ensure CIs are accurately identified, classified, and registered in the CMDB.
â Maintain and improve CMDB data quality, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with governance standards.
â Define and enforce policies for CI relationships, dependencies, and version control.
3. Process Improvements & Automation
â Identify and implement opportunities for automation in asset and configuration management to enhance efficiency.
â Work with IT teams to streamline change management and incident response through better configuration data.
â Continuously refine IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (ITCM) processes to improve visibility and control.
4. Digital CMDB Data Audits & Compliance
â Conduct regular CMDB audits to detect inconsistencies, missing records, and compliance gaps.
â Implement data validation and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure ongoing CMDB accuracy
â Work closely with IT security and compliance teams to support audit requirements and regulatory adherence.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
â Analyse large sets of asset and configuration data to derive insights and drive decision-making.
â Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key asset and configuration KPIs, such as asset utilization, compliance, and service levels (CSLs). â Provide actionable insights to optimise IT asset usage, reduce costs, and improve service reliability.
Capabilities Technical & Functional Competencies
â Strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (ITCM) best practices.
â Deep knowledge of CMDB structures, CI relationships, and IT service dependencies.
â Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM platforms, and asset management tools.
â Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to work with large datasets using ServiceNow PA, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
â Understanding of automation tools and scripting to streamline asset tracking and configuration processes.
â Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
