Talent Street is looking for an IT Security Operations Analyst for a 6-month contract for a Victoria government organisation in Geelong who will play their part in the shared purposes. Someone with the right skills and expertise, as well as attitude and openness to new ideas, that help advance positive outcomes for us, their colleagues and themselves.

 

About the role

 The IT Security Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the management of effective cyber security for the organisation’s information systems, networks, and data. This role will see you supporting the organisation to ensure the security policy and practices are implemented and are aligned with the ever-evolving cyber security landscape.

 This role will also be supporting with the IT Security work that will support during the transition of our current service provider. 

 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience managing IT security in an environment that is constantly changing and evolving to meet customer needs, including the growing move to cloud computing (IAAS and SAAS).
• Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, resolve conflicts, and translate technical information into business language.
• Demonstrated experience in influencing business and other stakeholders to drive positive service outcomes and the ability to influence.
• Experience managing request and incident management processes in an ITIL environment.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills to drive improvements in innovation and service quality.
• Demonstrated achievements in driving innovative solution delivery.

 

 
 

Preferred but not essential requirements:

 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or substantial IT systems management and industry experience.
• ITIL v3 Qualification/s
• Significant experience in a similar role, managing the end-to-end delivery of IT Security services in a multi sourced environment.
