Frontline IT support - permanent opportunity for an entry-level IT technician
Your new company You will be supporting an organisation with a workforce of approximately 200-300 employees. The company operates a combination of office and operational environments, including an on-site production facility, and has a small offshore user base. Technology plays a key role in enabling day-to-day operations, making responsive and practical IT support essential.
Your new role As the IT Support Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for internal IT support across the business. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on first-line support, user administration and troubleshooting within a Microsoft-centric environment.
You'll support office staff and production teams, manage user accounts and licences, provide onboarding and offboarding support, and assist with a range of hardware, software and access issues. You'll also support specialised production systems, escalating to vendors where required, and collaborate closely with a small internal IT team.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an IT support, service desk or junior systems support role
- Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Basic experience with Active Directory and AD synchronisation
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Confidence providing onsite, face-to-face IT support
- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
This role is best suited to a junior to early-career IT professional looking to build hands-on experience in a varied internal environment.
