Job Description

We are seeking a technically skilled IT Support Engineer to join our small but impressive team! Offering a salary base of $77,000 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • the ongoing administration, support and troubleshooting of the Centres Core IT Infrastructure, which includes server infrastructure, networks, desktops and internal applications including our Event management system.
  • systems Administration and Configuration of Server Technologies and Virtual Environments.
  • installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • monitoring and maintenance of servers, workstations, printers, and networks to minimise potential issues.
  • talking team members through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • development and upgrading of the internal network to provide best customer experience.
  • working with customers on events to provide an accurate, professional, and high-level network.

About You: 

  • You’ll need to be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills, because you will need to engage with IT colleagues, internal users, and external clients on a daily basis.
  • Because you’ll be customer facing, you’ll need to be well presented, a self-starter with excellent prioritisation skills and be able to work both autonomously and within a team.
  • You’ll love to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to trouble shoot, problem solve and think on your feet.
  • We are a hospitality venue and so you might be required to work some nights and rotating weekend shifts.

On a technical level you will need to have:

  • demonstrated experience in the support and administration of a networked windows environment predominately Hyper-V environment.
  • experience and understanding of Cisco networking and routing protocols.
  • solid support experience in Server Technologies including:
    • Windows Server 2012 R2/2019 and Windows 10/11
    • VMWare ESXi
    • MS SQL,
    • Office 365
    • Azure AD
  • experience in backup and disaster management
  • experience in IP Telephone and VOIP knowledge (Cisco CUCM)
  • technical wireless knowledge and wireless controller management (Cisco Wireless Controllers)
  • network, hardware, and systems monitoring and notifications
  • ideally have Ungerboeck event management software experience, but not essential
