Job Purpose:

The IT Technician & Network Engineer employed by WV Technologies will carry all tasks associated with processing ICT assets of many different varieties in order to ensure assets are completely and efficiently data sanitised. The role must be executed to the highest quality standard at all times, as even one data breach could be catastrophic to the health and reputation of WV Technologies, and severely impact our clients or members of the general public.

Success in this role you will see:

• Manual handling of IT Assets including loading and unloading job lots both small and large in quantity;
• Receiving, and Sorting assets using Makor software or similar;
• Use of Data wiping software Blancco or similar, including basic trouble shooting of devices to begin wipe process;
• 100 % accuracy on data entry and inventorying of assets;
• Auditing of assets to capture specs, functionality, and cosmetic grade;
• Carry out Quality Checks of assets;
• Zero data breaches relating to processing of assets;
• Wholesale packing of assets;
• Physical destruction of data bearing devices such as mobile devices, hard drives etc;
• Processing Enterprise assets such as Servers and Switches to data sanitise, including research and trouble shooting to ensure all data is erased;
• Secure and safe collection of assets from client.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Cert III in Information Technology or higher is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
