IT Trainer

  • 6 months initial contract with a government organisation
  • Based in Perth CBD, Hybrid work culture

Our client is a reputed government organisation looking for a passionate IT Trainer to design and deliver high-quality training programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to inspire and motivate others.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources, tailored to the specific needs of our employees.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on a variety of IT topics, such as software applications, cybersecurity, networking, and system administration.
  • Assess the training needs of different departments within the company and customize training programs accordingly.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees who require additional assistance with IT-related tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of IT, and incorporate this knowledge into training programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance assessments, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT training aligns with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Trainer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts and technologies, including but not limited to:
    • Operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Networking protocols and infrastructure
    • Cybersecurity best practices
    • Cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
