MDD helps insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damage of claims or disputes.

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to serve as an essential supporting function of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a related degree in finance and/or accounting and ideally, some experience in a related role(s), possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Data input, invoice analysis
• Preliminary analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
• Physical inventory observation, price testing
• Verification of claim to source documents
• Interview of Insured's or claimant representatives relative to each assignment
• Checking and proofing report schedules and reports
• Copying, research and other miscellaneous tasks
• Additional adhoc tasks as per business requirements

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Accounting or Finance degree
• Accounting-related internship/work experience, highly desirable
• Working towards CPA / CA qualification favourable
• Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable taking ownership of individual responsibilities
• Must be able to work under pressure and/or tight deadlines
• Open to taking feedback, direction and making use of feedback to improve overall output
• IT literate with good MS office skills. Accounting software experience, a plus!
