Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.

The Position

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the exciting team at Sydney Zoo in the new role of Junior Graphic Designer, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.

The position is responsible for graphic design and visual elements for Sydney Zoo and will develop material under the direction of the Creative Lead. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience

ESSENTIAL

• Tertiary qualifications in design or equivalent industry experience. 


• 1+ years’ relevant experience in an equivalent creative role. 


• Demonstrated knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. 


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite. 


• Experience producing communications material for all channels, including but not limited to digital, print and social material. 


• Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks and duties within a team environment or autonomously, with disciplined time management skills, and an ability to meet tight deadlines

DESIRABLE

• Experience in photography will be highly regarded. 
  
  


• Experience in videography, motion graphics and video editing.
  


• Drivers License
