Junior Project Manager / Carpenter - High End Flooring

The Client

Our client is an established and growing supplier of high end residential and commercial timber flooring products. They are highly regarded and respected and the products are used in numerous high end building projects across NSW. 

The Role

Your new role will be a hybrid position with some hands on carpentry work on site, alongside training and development into a project management career. You will spend the majority of your week on site, inspecting projects and conducting checks and scope of works prior to handover to installation teams. You will be required to produce project administration paperwork, oversee site logistics, delivery and quality control of materials. Working alongside a senior Project Manager you will be trained in various areas of project management including planning, scheduling, budgeting and client communication. 

Skills Required

We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate the following skills; 

• Formal carpentry qualifications and work experience, and a desire to move into a Junior Project Management role and career.
• Ability and desire to learn new skills in relation to administration, site coordination and developing relationships with clients and key stakeholders. 
• Full driving licence and own vehicle. 
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines and specific project delivery times. 
• An understanding of timber flooring / interiors or construction projects would be ideal. 
• Strong communication and presentation skills and good problem solving abilities.
• Excellent team player who is able to work with internal & external departments to rectify problems when they arise.

The Package

The starting salary package is $80-100K + Super + Car Expenses, with room to grow as you develop your skills.
