Junior Recipe Developer

Job Description

As the Junior Recipe Developer, you will take our recipe offering to the next level by creating, testing, and refining delicious, high-performing meals for HelloFresh and EveryPlate. You will be responsible for delivering recipes that balance flavor, cost, complexity, and customer satisfaction while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This role is based in Chippendale, Sydney and reports to the Senior Recipe Development & Validation Manager.

You will…

• Create recipes that are delicious yet simple  


• Test, test, and test again in the luxurious HelloFresh Test Kitchen


• Understand and work within business parameters (e.g. cost, seasonality of ingredients) to deliver recipes adhering to our product roadmap


• Participate in recipe tastings by providing and collecting feedback on recipe flavour, composition, and methods


• Become an expert in our customer preferences and flavour profiles, and apply this knowledge when evaluating recipes


• Take on board the feedback received from our recipe testers and our customers and implement learnings for future recipes


• Participate in creativity sessions to identify new concepts, recipe ideas and techniques for new and existing recipe development


• Support the team with exciting culinary projects

You have…

• 1–2 years’ experience in recipe development (meal kit, media, magazine, or test kitchen)


• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a food-related field


• Exceptional written skills for clear, concise recipe methods


• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Word and Excel

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
