To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.

This role consists of analysing oat production samples against product specifications, release compliant product to market and support the quality team.

 

Details:

  • Location: Forrestfield (WA)
  • On the job training for first 2-4 weeks
  • Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm)
  • Rotating roster after training completed: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week2: 10pm – 6am
  • Monday to Friday
  • Position: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities






  • Collect samples to perform sensory evaluation, compliance testing and sample analysis
  • Action out of specification results for any noncomplying product as per procedure.
  • Check all calibrations and maintenance associated with analytical equipment – in-line, laboratory, and production areas in accordance with Quality Dept requirements
  • Perform Quality audits and Safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards.
  • Actively engage with internal stakeholders to perform troubleshooting exercises to prevent any non-compliance. Manage Laboratory waste and systems
  • Comply with all PepsiCo Policies to ensure the highest quality of food is produced








Qualifications






  • Qualifications in Food Science and technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desired but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or a laboratory environment (particularly in grain industry) is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to communicate, with strong attention to detail and excellent time maangement skills
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
