About the role

An opportunity has become available for a Fulltime Laboratory Technician in our Clayton Lab.

The position involves working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for individuals who pride themselves on the level of accuracy in their work and have a strong customer focus.  You will work as part of an experienced and dedicated team with exposure to a wide diversity of work. 

The Haematology department operates on a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. The preferred applicant will be available to work Monday to Saturday, 8:00am – midnight, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision. Shifts will be rostered on a four-week rotation:

• Week 1 Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm
• Week 2 Tuesday – Saturday 8am – 4pm
• Week 3 Monday – Friday 4pm – midnight
• Week 4 Tuesday – Saturday 4pm – midnight

About you

• Qualification in Medical Technician or equivalent
• Previous experience in utilising high throughput Haematology analysers and associated Quality assurance
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and experience working in a fast pace environment
• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
• Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team as well as independently
• Own transport is required; free onsite parking is available
