Laboratory Technician | Narangba

Test, Report and Maintain
 

Suncoast Asphalt is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician for their laboratory located in Brisbane’s northern suburb of Narangba.  We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic.

In your new role, you will:

• Carry out a wide range of testing for construction materials such as asphalt and aggregates

• Undertake testing results analysis and interpretation

• Carry out equipment calibrations

• Setting up and maintaining of equipment

• Assist the technical team
   

This role is a great fit for you, if you have:

• Proven success in a technical or laboratory environment

• Ability to work flexible hours including night shift and weekends as required

• Ability to work under pressure and problem solve

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques preferred, but not essential

• Have knowledge of laboratory set up & calibration requirements preferred, but not essential

• 2 years’ experience in Construction Materials Testing or similar field preferred, but not essential

• Excellent Health and Safety behaviours

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) with excellent attention to detail

• A valid driver’s license

• An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision
