About the Role:

As a result of our continued growth and the dedication of our team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join ALS Water's Organics team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful applicant will receive training and support in the technical components and procedures of the role and in a wide variety of processes associated with working in a modern laboratory.

We’re looking for a strong collaborative team approach, the ability to multitask effectively, and a strong commitment to working efficiently.

This is a full-time, permanent role – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:40pm (with some flexibility)  

 The Day to Day

• Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions.

• Interpretation of results and LIMS system entry

• Completing tasks accurately, within set timeframes and to the relevant analysis standard.

• Organising daily work to optimise efficiency and meet turnaround requirements

• Maintaining equipment, including calibration and cleaning

• Contributing to a clean, tidy and organised lab environment

The Essentials

• Experience in a high throughput, client-focused environment - ideally with commercial laboratory exposure

• Good knowledge of Chemistry and demonstrated competency in lab skills

• Effective written and verbal communications.

• Strong team player who can also work autonomously and with initiative

• Well-organised, task-focused with attention to detail

• A clear understanding of HSE principles and commitment to safe working
