Law Graduate - Insurance Disputes

About the Opportunity

Clyde & Co is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Law Graduate to join our leading Professional & Financial Disputes practice in Sydney. This is a rare opportunity to launch your legal career alongside Partners Matthew Smith, James Rigney, David Lee, and Steven Lurie, recognised experts in insurance law, with particular strengths in professional indemnity (especially construction and engineering) and public liability.

As part of our Construction PI team, you'll work on high-profile matters for both local and international clients, collaborating closely with colleagues in London and across our global network. Our team is growing, and we're looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and build their expertise in a supportive, close-knit environment.

What You'll Do

Under the guidance of experienced lawyers and Partners, you will:

• Assist with the preparation and management of client files
• Draft, analyse, and interpret a range of legal documents and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and prepare summary memoranda
• Prepare and file court documents
• Attend client meetings and teleconferences
• Contribute to matter planning and strategy sessions
• Prepare file notes, memoranda, and meeting summaries
• Assist with drafting witness statements and affidavits
• Liaise with and support barristers, including preparing briefs to counsel
• Stay up to date with legal developments and contribute to internal learning sessions
• Support business development activities, including writing articles, preparing presentations, and assisting with tenders and client events
