We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer to join our Government Public & Regulatory team in Adelaide working with Michael La Vista.

About the team and the work

• The team act for a range of Commonwealth clients and licensees, providing advice on statutory classes of insurance and administrative law in one of the largest and most highly regarded Government teams in the country.

• This is a challenging role where you will have the opportunity to work with a large client on a diverse range of matters in a fast-paced environment.

• You will have the opportunity to be involved in regular advocacy work in Federal Courts and the Administrative Review Tribunal.

• You will have the opportunity to be involved in strategic litigation and claims management advice, focussing on matters of liability, quantum and settlement prospects.

• It is the team's culture to develop the practice of individual lawyers according to their personal aspirations and interests.

About you

• You will have prior experience in Litigation and/or Administrative / Public law. Merits and judicial review exposure is highly regarded.

• The successful candidate will have a solid grounding and demonstrated interest in Administrative Law.

• Ideally you will have advocacy experience in the Administrative Review Tribunal and / or the Federal Courts, however candidates who have a keen interest in developing their skills in this area will be considered.
