National Legal Practice | Melbourne CBD | Hybrid Working | 2-3 years PAE Your new company National Legal Practice | Melbourne CBD | Hybrid Working A nationally operating legal practice, specialising in property and strata-related disputes, is seeking a Litigation Lawyer (2-3 years PAE) to join its Melbourne office on a full-time, permanent basis.The firm is part of a larger professional services group and receives a steady pipeline of work, alongside instructions from external corporate clients. The practice operates across multiple jurisdictions and is known for its strong systems, collaborative culture, and progressive approach to legal delivery. Your new role This role will primarily manage Victorian matters, with additional exposure to Tasmania and the Northern Territory. This is a fast-paced litigation role. Extensive automation, precedents and fixed-fee billing systems are in place, allowing lawyers to focus on substantive legal work rather than administration or fee calculations. Key Responsibilities
Acting on strata, property, debt recovery and civil litigation matters
Running matters through VCAT, with some matters in the Federal Circuit Court and Supreme Court
Communicating directly with clients including strata committees, strata managers, and corporate finance stakeholders
Briefing counsel where matters progress to hearings or fall outside scope
What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have:
2-3 years PAE in commercial or civil litigation
Exposure to strata litigation and/or debt recovery (advantageous but not essential)
A strong working knowledge of VCAT and court processes
An unrestricted practicing certificate
Confidence running matters independently while working collaboratively with interstate colleagues
Strong client communication skills and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Comprehensive training and structured support will be provided, so prior strata expertise is not essential.
