Lead Developer | 12 Month Contract | Up to $177 p/h incl. Super

• $140 - $160 p/h + Super
• 12 Month Contract + 6 month extension
• Canberra / WFH (3 days per week on site)

About the Role
  
The position is based in a Branch which delivers professional business change services that enable the ACT Government to deliver quality outcomes for the Territory. Key focus areas include: optimising investment through change initiatives; identifying, supporting and enabling multi-directorate solutions; and delivering quality services that enable business areas to realise significant benefits.

Key accountabilities include:

• Work as part of a small development team and provide leadership and guidance on software development
• Ensure that the new solution utilises industry best practice and patterns.
• Assist the Program Architects during the evolution of the solution architecture.
• Assist in the remediation of existing VB6 applications during backend systems upgrade.
• Develop new solution using Microsoft Technologies to replace legacy VB6 application.
• Responsible for the development of detail design documentation.
• Perform Code reviews.

About You

• Strong experience in VB6.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Technologies such as VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript.
• Strong in the development of Web Services/ API.
• Strong experience in CI/CD and Development of Pipelines in MS DevOps
• Strong experience in using source control software such as Azure DevOps or Git.
• Strong experience with T-SQL coding language.
• Strong experience using tools such as Azure DevOps.
