Contract - Lead .NET EngineerYour new companyYou'll be joining a well-established financial services organisation that is investing heavily in modern engineering capability as they scale a newly launched internal platform. The product engineering division is growing beyond its current team of roughly 25 specialists, supporting a cloud-native environment that collaborates across multiple regions. With the platform expected to onboard several thousand users in the coming months, the business is strengthening its senior technical leadership to support rapid expansion and ongoing feature development.
Your new roleThis position leads backend engineering within a .NET-centric environment, contributing to the evolution of a newly released customer-relationship platform. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering new functionality, working across AWS-based services, Aurora databases and associated cloud tooling. The role involves close partnership with product owners, active participation in Agile delivery cycles and ensuring work moves efficiently from concept to production. You'll also be expected to use AI-assisted development tools and help advance automation across CI/CD, testing and deployment. Experience with full-stack technologies such as React or Next.js, as well as exposure to LLM-driven or agentic AI integrations, will be highly regarded.
What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive senior experience in .NET engineering
• Strong capability across AWS services and Aurora or similar cloud-native databases
• A solid background in DevOps-aligned practices, including automated testing and CI/CD pipeline automation
• Confidence using AI-enabled coding tools and familiarity with contemporary AI integration patterns
• Desirable skills include React/Next.js exposure, GitHub Actions and hands-on work with LLM-based systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams
• A delivery-focused mindset suited to Agile product development
