Redpath Australia has been selected as the preferred mining contractor for the Northparkes E22 Block Cave Development Project in Parkes, NSW. We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Service Crew professional to provide leadership, mentoring and operational support within our underground mining team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, the Leading Hand Service Crew will coordinate day-to-day underground service activities while providing hands-on leadership to Service Crew personnel.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground Service Crew activities
• Coordinate installation and maintenance of mine services
• Oversee ventilation, dewatering and pumping systems
• Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Mentor and develop crew members
• Conduct workplace inspections and hazard reporting
• Support daily production and development requirements
• Maintain compliance with site safety standards and procedures
• Promote a positive and high-performing team culture

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Significant underground mining experience within a Service Crew environment
• Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience highly regarded
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic mining environment
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
• Current Australian work rights
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
