About the roles
We are seeking three enthusiastic Trainers to join our Operations Training team, focusing on our Protection Officers (PO) and Safeworking, Network Control Officers (NCO), and Transit Officers (TO). You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of operational training programs, courses, and assessments, specifically within a rail environment, aiming to enhance the competencies of our operational employees.
In facilitating the learning process, these roles involve appraising performance, identifying problem areas, and addressing issues within the context of the training course. Close liaison with the PTA RTO Quality & Compliance team is maintained to ensure that all training and assessment activities comply with required standards guaranteeing high-quality educational experiences.

Although much of our training is based out at our Training Centre in Guildford you will be required to work across other Public Transport Authority sites such as the Public Transport Centre in East Perth and our offices and yard in Claisebrook. This is a unique opportunity for candidates with broad experience to join a growing team of trainers and assessors, to support the growth of Perth’s urban rail network.

There are currently 3 full time, permanent position available for an immediate start.
Initially this selection process will be used to fill the above vacancies, however this is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent, part-time, or fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made.
