Job Description - Learning Experience Designer

The Purpose: 

Australian Payments Plus (AP+) is seeking an innovative and experienced Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team in a six-month max term contract role.

Our Learning Experience Designer is responsible for collaborating with our AP+ teams to design and deliver impactful learning solutions for strategic projects and initiatives. We are looking for a learning professional with skills in digital learning design, instructional design, project management, and stakeholder management.  

Day-to-day, you will be accountable for designing learning experiences that give our teams practical knowledge that is relevant and applicable to their jobs to be done. You will be collaborating with a range of internal customers to support the achievement of strategic goals, and design and deliver for AP+ teams.   

Responsibilities:

The Learning Experience Designer will collaborate, design and bring to life learning solutions that will support our teams across AP+.   You’ll work with and deliver initiatives related to:   

  • Organisational effectiveness and operational excellence. 
  • Risk, governance and regulations. 
  • Leadership capabilities. 
  • Personal growth and career development. 
  • Change practices. 
  • DEI and belonging. 

To be considered for this role you should be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Relevant experience in Digital Learning, Instructional Design, and Project Management.   
  • Strong experience in using design tools for e-learning, videos, infographics.   
  • Skilled communicator and stakeholder manager.   
  • Ability to complete projects end-to-end, including discovery apply suitable methods e.g. ADDIE/SAM and make enhancements to existing content. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and adapt to changes.  
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems and how it relates to overall learner experience.   
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and problem-solving.   
  • Ability to balance innovative design, detail-oriented work with scalable solutions.   
  • Portfolio or samples of previous instructional design work
  • Experience in Financial Services/FinTech/Start-up/Scale-Up preferred but not essential.
