Pinnacle College is a non-denominational, independent school (F-12) located in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Pinnacle College established its first campus at Gilles Plains in 2005, its second campus at Elizabeth East in 2010, and its third campus at Golden Grove in 2019.

About the Role

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for two full time, fixed term contract positions at our Golden Grove and Gilles Plains campuses. The role at Golden Grove is to provide support for students at the secondary level. The role at Gilles Plains campus is to provide support for students at the primary level. The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy-based outcomes of students in the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Work with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessments.
• Implement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers.
• Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.
• Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Attend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of learning support practices.

Essential Criteria

• Certificate III or higher in Education Support or similar.
• Experience working with students who have additional learning needs.
• A passion for inspiring students to learn.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
• A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College.
• Working with Children Check.

Base Salary Range: $58,339.58 - $73,812.71
Adjusted Salary Range: $49,672.51 - $62,846.93
Weeks of Paid Leave: 11
Hours of Work: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
