Job Description - Lecturer in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy

  • Opportunity to shape future practitioners in trauma-informed care

  • Base Salary $127,436 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Lecturer in Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy is an education-focused academic role contributing to high-quality teaching, curriculum design, and student learning within the discipline. You will join a collaborative academic team and play a key role in delivering innovative, trauma-informed education informed by clinical practice and scholarship

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work closely with academic colleagues and industry partners to deliver high-quality teaching

  • deliver and evaluate engaging teaching in trauma-informed psychotherapy

  • design and develop curriculum, including work-integrated learning activities

  • supervise and mentor postgraduate students

  • apply contemporary pedagogical practices to enhance student outcomes

  • contribute to academic administration and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

  • master’s degree in trauma-informed psychotherapy (or equivalent)

  • doctorate in a relevant discipline

  • medical degree and current AHPRA registration

  • demonstrated clinical experience in trauma-informed psychotherapy

  • experience in the conversational model

  • experience in teaching and curriculum development in higher education.
