A Legal Assistant/Secretary is required to work for this progressive firm. Your new company An established, forward-thinking legal practice with a collaborative culture is seeking a professional and motivated Legal Assistant to support a select group of fee earners. Your new role As a Legal Assistant, you will perform the core functions of a legal secretary while working closely with fellow legal assistants. You will have clear responsibilities, strong workflow ownership and the scope to assist the Office Manager in driving operational excellence across the practice.Key Responsibilities:
File opening, closing and updating of records
Entering disbursements into LEAP and preparing invoices
Assisting fee earners with resolving inactive/dormant files
Supporting fee earners with client liaison and communications
Managing email correspondence and diary scheduling
Drafting emails and correspondence
Formatting documents and managing precedents
Scanning, archiving and file destruction
Assisting with CPD management
Assisting with and implementing efficiency initiatives
Working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
Supporting firm policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
Preparing BD materials to support team objectives
Managing new client enquiries
What you'll need to succeed
2+ years' administration experience within a legal practice
Enthusiastic and positive outlook
Ability to work under pressure and independently
Strong motivation, initiative and drive
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (O365 and earlier)
Experience using LEAP Practice Management System
