Due to growth, our Melbourne Trade Mark team are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join them on a full-time basis.
Working hours: 9am - 5:15pm, Monday to Friday, minimum 3-4 days a week in the office.
We value teamwork and collaboration. While our ideal candidate will primarily work in the office, we offer flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, depending on the needs of the practice group.
In this role you will play a pivotal role providing high level support to Eliza Foley, Senior Associate, Trade Marks lawyers. Working closely with a team of dedicated business services professionals.
Please note we are not able to consider law students for this role.
What your day will look like
Delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines, responding to changing and competing priorities.
Managing monthly billing processes including creation of pre-bills, editing, finalising and posting.
Assisting the team with filing documents with IP Australia and IPONZ
Comprehensive calendar management for appointments as they may arise.
Organising national and international travel
Assisting the wider Trade Mark team with any ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email and in-person using a professional and personable manner.
To be successful in this role you will also have:
At least 2 years' Legal Assistant experience.
Previous experience with end-to-end billing.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Previous experience in calendar management.
A sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
Adaptability and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
Ability to anticipate senior legal team requirements to reduce administrative time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
You will be confident in decision making on behalf of senior stakeholders.
