Licensed Electrician - Level 5

As part of the Operations Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely undertaking all work in accordance with D4C and Sydney Water safety, environmental and compliance requirements.


• Performing preventative and planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment.


• Responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.


• Conducting inspections and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.


• Carrying out fault finding, diagnostics and rectification works.


• Maintaining accurate maintenance and service records.


• Installing, testing and commissioning new equipment.


• Supporting general day-to-day maintenance activities across the network.

• UV treatment equipment


• Cathodic protection systems


• Chemical dosing equipment


• Wastewater and water pumping stations


• Low pressure and vacuum systems


• Mixers, blowers, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators and valves


• Generators and outage support equipment


• Wastewater treatment plant infrastructure

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements

• Current Electrical Licence


• Australian recognised electrical trade qualification


• Current Australian Driver Licence


• Strong commitment to safety


• Ability to perform physically demanding work

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA systems


• Experience with pumps, electric motors and associated equipment


• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and compliance requirements


• Instrumentation qualifications or experience will be highly regarded


• Experience within water, utilities, industrial or maintenance environments

• Permanent full-time position


• Day shift roster (Monday to Friday) with a 7:00am start


• Competitive hourly rate of $51.72 per hour


• Electrical licence allowance of $69.49 per week


• Additional site and industry allowances

• Rostered afternoon shift rotation (1 week in every 8 weeks)


• Afternoon shift loading of 15%
