WHO WE ARE

We are a savvy group of digital marketers and financial services professionals who have come together to launch a new, digital first pet insurance agency. We see that much of the population is not clear on the benefits of pet insurance and that we know that we would all be better off if more pets were insured.

We are a well funded start-up and we’re not going anywhere but up! We have our insurance partners in-place, offering in-development and licensing is the next hurdle.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We’re creating an exciting new pet insurance offering for Canadian cats and dogs and we’re looking for an experienced insurance agent to join our team at the ground level and be a foundational part of the exciting journey ahead.

We believe that the world is better because of pets and we’re looking for the right person to join our rapidly growing team of pet loving hustlers. We’re on a mission to make sure that more people have access to great pet health insurance and are covered for any incidents or conditions that may arise.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

When it comes to working in insurance, you’ve seen some things and you hold a level 2 property and casualty license. You love pets and you understand the value that they contribute to our lives.

As we first start working together on the licensing we don't expect this to be a full-time project, however that may change in fairly short order and we'll look to an open conversation to identify the timing as to when this makes the most sense. This is not the type of posting where we expect hundreds of applicants and it is truly an exciting opportunity for the right applicant who wants to help build a business that will change the Canadian insurance landscape. You’ve completed your CAIB exams (levels 1-4) and worked in insurance for the past 5-10 years (minimum), no worries if you’re not familiar with pet health insurance yet. You’re comfortable being self-directed and are highly autonomous.

You’ve had experience in a variety of roles, customer facing and back-office and are keen to share that knowledge to help us navigate the journey ahead.

We are a remote company with team members located across Canada and the US, so you’ll be working from your home.

What will you be doing?

• Help us navigate general agency licensing with regulatory bodies across Canada
• Work with us to officially launch our new insurance agency
• Ensure that all of our insurance activities are conducted in a legal and compliant manner
• Be our go-to source for all insurance questions
• Help identify and develop other opportunities for expansion in our offerings

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Level 2 General Insurance License that you've held for at least 5 years
• Strong Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Google suite (Drive,docs etc)
• Strong curiosity for understanding new things
