Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bargara is seeking a Lifestyle Team Leader to join our team on a Full-Time basis, working 38 hours per week across 9.30AM - 5.30PM Monday-FridayReporting to the Clinical Manager, you'll take the lead in planning and delivering an engaging lifestyle program that enriches the lives of our residents. You'll guide a team of Lifestyle Assistants, helping them create moments that matter through social, recreational, and wellness-based activities. You'll also be a key connector with the broader community - coordinating entertainment, liaising with volunteers, and building strong ties with groups such as schools, religious leaders, and service clubs.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting residents and informing them about the day's activities

  • Welcoming new residents and completing their social profiles and activity plans

  • Creating monthly calendars and newsletters

  • Organising community events and external outings

  • Supporting staff development and participating in continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
  • Demonstrated experience in diversional therapy or lifestyle programming

  • 1-2 years experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role
  • A current National Police Check
  • A current “C” class driver’s license and confidence in transporting residents

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a small team

  • Enthusiasm and creativity to enrich the lives of our residents
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively work with a range of internal & external stakeholders
  • A compassionate approach and empathy for older people and their families
  • A high level of self-motivation, initiative and the ability to work without supervision

You'll Stand out if you have: 

  • Knowledge of Autumn Care (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality standards
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC framework
