Light Vehicle Mechanic

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical components of light vehicles.
  
• Conduct routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and scheduled repairs.
  
• Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and suspension.
  
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret fault codes using electronic equipment.
  
• Repair and replace defective parts, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications.
  
• Conduct wheel alignments, balancing, and tyre replacements.
  
• Maintain accurate service and repair records in compliance with company procedures.
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workshop operations.
  
• Ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  

Requirements

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
  
• Valid driver’s licence.
  
• Experience working with both petrol and diesel engines.
  
• Familiarity with 4WD vehicles and a range of brands (Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu).
  
• Strong diagnostic and problem -solving skills.
  
• Ability to use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and software effectively.
  
• Attention to detail and commitment to high -quality workmanship.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
