Job Description - Local Service Manager - Ambius

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a fast-growing global organisation in a newly created role. Ambius Services, part of the Rentokil Initial Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Local Service Manager – Installations to lead our indoor plant installation operations across client and commercial sites.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing a team of Installers to deliver high-quality, compliant and efficient installations that exceed customer expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational delivery, people management and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Plantscape Consultants to support bespoke design solutions and deliver successful project installations
  • Lead and execute the regional annual operational plan
  • Manage stock ordering and onsite igloo operations in line with Plant Health and Hygiene standards
  • Coach, mentor and train the Installation team to achieve monthly targets and performance outcomes
  • Monitor installation productivity, identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous year-on-year improvement
  • Conduct regular quality audits across a defined client portfolio
  • Ensure company service standards and compliance requirements are consistently met
  • Optimise service efficiency through effective use of tools, systems and technology
  • Maintain fleet vehicles to company safety, cleanliness and reliability standards
  • Proactively resolve customer issues and build strong, long-term client relationships

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience
  • Experience in service planning and/or project management
  • Previous experience in plant hire, horticulture or a related industry (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication, customer service and commercial acumen
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example
  • Proven experience managing service delivery and resolving customer complaints
