Position Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all products meet the company’s standards for quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:
   • Operate and monitor machinery used in the manufacturing process.
   • Set up machines according to specifications and perform routine checks.
   • Ensure machines are running smoothly and efficiently during production.
2. Quality Control:
   • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
   • Identify and report any issues or defects in the production process.
   • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
3. Safety Compliance:
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
   • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
   • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Production Supervisor.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of machine operation, production output, and maintenance activities.
   • Complete production logs and quality reports as required.
   • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any issues.
5. Team Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other machine operators, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.
   • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
   • Assist in training new operators as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the kitchen or furniture manufacturing industry.

Skills:

• Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
