Machine Operators - Room for Advancement

As a Machine Operator, your role is key in ensuring fabricated parts are made to meet strict deadlines.  Your hourly rate will exceed the Award rate and be reflective of the skill and experience you bring to the role. You may be cross-trained to increase your skills. Your positive attitude and strong work ethic make you a sought after employee. More specifically your duties will include:

• Operate a press brake or turret machine
• Select correct materials from stock
• Read drawings
• Operate power tools
• Conduct minor machinery maintenance

In determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:

• Capable of operating a press brake or turret machine, or have the ability to learn how to operate a press brake
• Prior experience with any of the following machines will be regarded as a significant advantage: LVD P1525 Turret and Trumpf Tru Bend Center (Panel Bender)
• Availability for a 4-day working week on day shift (5am-3pm) 
• Reliable and hardworking
• Capable of undertaking manual handling relating to the role
• Comply with work health and safety requirements
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Pass in Year 10 English
• Pass in Year 10 Maths

The following criteria are considered desirable:

• Current HR LF (Forklift) Licence
