Maintenance & Gardening Officer

We are looking for a Gardening and Maintenance Attendant to join our team, on a Permanent Part -Time basis looking after two of our Retirement Living Villages in Page & Kaleen. You will look after day-to-day lawn mowing, gardening and maintenance activities across our Retirement Village to ensure the building and grounds are always looking and operating at their absolute best.

Hours are:

- Mondays & Fridays - Kaleen - 08:30am - 2pm

- Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursdays - Page - 08:30am-2pm

- 50 hours per fortnight

A bit about your new role: 

• Maintenance of gardens, lawns, irrigation, pools and grounds

• Respond to maintenance requests in an efficient and timely manner

• Minor building repair works to building fixtures

• Assist residents with minor maintenance works such as light globes, broken fly screens, minor lock repairs

• Setting up and taking down for special functions - such as a Village BBQ or morning teas

• Assist with safety inspections and light cleaning of community centres

• Other duties as directed by the Leader

A bit about you: 

• Demonstrated experience in gardening and maintenance role in aged care/retirement living or similar setting would be desirable but not essential

• Willing to learn about aged care and the principles guiding this sector

• Ability to interact with the residents on a day-to-day basis and have a genuine interest in their wellbeing
