Join this reputable National manufacturer in the Maintenance team as the Day or Afternoon Shift Fitter. Working within a fast paced environment you will be supporting the manufacturing plant in all aspects of maintenance.
Duties will include but not limited too:
- Address and resolve issues associated with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in plant
- Pursue the continuous improvement of plant equipment, machinery and systems
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC equipment and machinery
- Work closely with management in relation with maintenance and equipment issues
- Apply a planned and preventative approach to maintenance
- Have a clear focus on quality and safety
- You will also need:
- Trade qualifications
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of working with PLC, Hydraulic, Pneumatic machinery and safety procedures
- Experience in a relevant maintenance and repair environment, preferably food or beverage
- MIG, TIG and stainless steel welding skills
- A sound knowledge of basic electrical components and possess a disconnect/connect license
- Good fault finding skills and a sound knowledge in pneumatics
- General machining and fabrication skills
- Ability to apply initiative and strong problem solving skills while working autonomously or in a team
This is a full time permanent salaried position.
