Maintenance Handyman - Join a Leading Company

The Lakes Resort Hotel is an Award Winning 4 star Hotel, located on the peaceful waters of West Lakes. This hotel features award-winning restaurants, bars, gaming room and function facilities.

The Hotel is currently seeking a maintenance/handyman Manager to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reporting to General Manager
• Regular maintenance of Hotel rooms and general public areas which may include patching, painting, carpentry, plumbing and minor electrical works
• Testing and tagging of appliances
• Supervise contracted maintenance
• Reporting any safety issues and fix as required
• Contribute to maintenance of the overall property presentation
• Be able to work independently/unsupervised and as part of a team

The be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate;

• Knowledge and experience in general building repair, painting, plumbing and minor electrical work
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze problems and identify a solution
• A trade qualification is desirable although not necessary
• Forklift license\drivers license
• Previous hotel maintenance experience advantageous although not required
• Clear understanding of all things WHS related

The role requires the successful candidates to potentially work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
