Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging, from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to come onboard and join the team at our site in Bibra Lake (WA)!

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Manage the maintenance team across the Bibra Lake site
• Responsibly manage the site repairs and maintenance budget
• Play a key role in upholding safety and compliance standards on-site
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external parties (such as OEM's, contractors and suppliers)
• Ensure that reactive and preventative maintenance is planned and executed effectively - to ensure reliability of the machines
• Utilize relevant data to conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement continuous improvement strategies, to avoid reoccurrences
• Effectively use the SAP systems on-site to ensure that records and planning are accurately outlined

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• An engineering degree or a relevant trade qualification (electrical or mechanical)
• Experience in using SAP would be highly regarded
• Multiple years of experience in leading trade qualified teams (fitters and electricians)
• Prior experience in managing preventative and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
• Project management and strong organizational skills
• Clear communication skills and the ability to motivate and empower the team
