Trisco Foods (www.triscofoods.com.au) is an Australian family-owned business managed by the Tristram family who have been manufacturing food and beverage products for over five generations in Queensland, dating back to 1875. The company has an enviable reputation for quality products and state of the art manufacturing. The business is poised for further growth and is now looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join their team.
As a Maintenance Manager you will be required to provide leadership, promote individual responsibility and assist in ensuring a consistent high quality within the maintenance team. You will lead and manage the maintenance team members’ schedule and daily duties, working with the Production Manager to mentor, train and develop the team members. Furthermore, you will work with the Production Manager to implement change to processes and equipment, complying with legislative, internal standards and continuous improvement initiatives. You could be in a similar role now or be a highly experienced maintenance fitter who has been a team leader for 10 + years, who is experienced across high-speed food packaging machines and manufacturing plants. The idea is to find someone who wants to take a part in making a great team not just run it as you know you are a part of production and actively involved in the problem solving and KPIs.
Based in Carole Park and reporting to the Engineering Manager, with a dotted line through to production, you will be responsible for:
* Lead and manage the maintenance team (2), coordinating daily tasks, projects and schedules.
* The maintenance budget.
* Coordinate the maintenance team members work schedule, including start / finish times and appropriate leave.
* Provide regular feedback and conduct annual performance reviews of maintenance members in conjunction with the Production Manager.
* Ensure critical maintenance training is up to date for the maintenance team, including lock out procedures, electrical work and working at heights.
* Collect and report on maintenance breakdown data in the operations meeting, following up actions generated and providing feedback to the Production Manager and maintenance team.
* Ensure strict compliance with the established Lean methods including:
o Upkeep of the maintenance teams’ mini business board
o Ensure regular Lean meetings are taking place and conducted correctly.
o Conduct and audit effective root cause analysis.
o Ensure target dates for mistake proof solutions are set, assigned and logged into the Mex CMMS system.
o Implement 5S in both the workshop and stores areas and sustain.
* Manage and coordinate contractors and relevant details, including inductions and insurance details are up to date.
* Undertake high level fitting and machining work to improve or produce safe and practical solutions to production problems.
* Promote and ensure the maintenance teams’ compliance with legislation, Trisco Foods internal standards, including HACCP plan, GMP and change management processes.
Critical to your success will be your skills around maintenance, problem solving and people management, and experience working in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site, preferably in food, FMCG, with an ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and partners to drive business success.
Other essential experience is:
* Relevant formal technical qualifications
* Mechanical fitter
* CMMS experience
* Relevant experience ideally gained in a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience managing a team.
* Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Proven stakeholder management skills
You have a multinational or SME FMCG background and are currently a Manufacturing Manager or similar, looking to join a growing company where you can make a change and can be ‘hands on’ in achieving this.
On offer is a very competitive salary package. Sounds interesting? Then please apply with your CV or call Robbert Sindorf confidentially.
