About the role:

We are looking for a self motivated and customer focused Maintenance Officer for our home at Clyde North.

This role has a high level of interaction between residents, management, fellow team members and external contractors. 

Fulltime hours: Monday to Friday 0800hrs - 1600hrs

About you:

This role will be responsible for the overall maintenance of our Aged Care home at Clyde North. This includes everything from hanging a picture to ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, coordination of the maintenance system, plant & equipment monitoring, grounds upkeep, setting up rooms and equipment.  You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive attitude and an ability to prioritise in a service delivery environment.

To be considered for this opportunity, you are required to meet the following criteria:

• Suitable building trade qualification – B Grade Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter
• 2 years previous experience in building maintenance of a large building
• Understanding of legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs (i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation)
• Knowledge and/or experience in establishing and coordinating a programmed maintenance program 
• Ability to communicate with staff, residents and contractors
• Ability to record necessary information accurately 
• Ability to manage the Maintenance Service budget in conjunction with the Residential Manager
• Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including safe and proper use of tools and equipment 
• Willingness to be contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements when needed
• Good time management skills
• Demonstrated commitment and achievement in continuous learning in self
• Computer literate  - Microsoft package, maintenance management systems, inventory systems
• Current Drivers Licence

Desirable:

• Knowledge of building regulations relating to the Aged Care Industry
• OHS Qualification is advantageous
• Previous welding experience
