Maintenance Supervisor - Callide Mine (Bilolela)

This opportunity as a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor will see you in the Australian operation working at the Callide Mine, near Biloela in Queensland.

About the role

While reporting to the Superintendent:

• Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through effective hazard identification and risk management. 

• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities to members of the team driving a positive workplace culture. 

• Ensure work order feedback and closeouts are completed accurately to improve maintenance efficiencies. 

• Provide leadership to the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan. 

• Assist the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents in implementing safety plans. 

• Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.

To be successful you will have:   

• Certificate Standard 11.

• Current Australian Drivers Licence.

• Current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to complete along with a Pre Employment Medical including drug and alcohol test.

• First Aid Certificate.

• Demonstrate positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.

• Effective people management and development experience and skills.

• Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor.

• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

• Work Planning and scheduling skills.

Essential

• G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1,S2,S3) and G2 tickets.

• Australian trade qualified with extensive experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment. 

Desirable 

• Previous experience in supervisory roles (leading hand experience considered but direct supervisory experience preferred).

• Forklift ticket, Confined space and working at heights (within 5 years).

• Minimum 5 years mining experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment.

• Preferably experience with Komatsu 5500, Excavator Liebherr 996B and 930E Trucks.
